March 27 from 1 - 4 p.m. Three hour workshop:  Yoga for the Pelvic Floor with Jennifer Sadugor @The Yoga Solution, 887 57th Street, #B, Sacramento- $50 if you pregister by March 14/$60 thereafter.  The pelvic floor is a significant structure of our human body.  It is a "hammock" of muscles that support the lower abdominal organs as well as a source of grounding and energy.  The strength and flexibility of these muscles may be compromised and weakened causing everything from poor support of the lower abdominal organs to low back and hip pain.  During this workshop, we will explore a variety of yoga poses that will help strengthen, soften and stabilize the pelvic floor.  A minimum of 6 months of yoga experiece required.  This is for women only. April 24 from 10:00am-12:00pm~ Chi Kung in Nature with Tara Stiles at a small conservation area about 30 minutes east of Folsom. Class fee is a donation of your choice to American River Conservancy. Celebrate spring and the beauty of doing chi kung (“Chinese yoga” ) outdoors near a flowing stream and waterfall. Learn movements called “Passing Clouds”, "Centering in the Midst of the 10,000 Things" and others including a Native American movement prayer. You will also learn the basics of standing and walking meditation. Bring a camping chair or yoga mat/towel to sit on for a short sitting meditation.  Also good walking shoes and water to drink. No prior experience in Chi Kung or yoga  required although if you have experience  then this  day will take you deeper- and higher\!
